“Environment: How do you define it?”


What is it?

Environment includes physical aspects like air, water, and soil as well as social and economic conditions under which we live. The environment surrounds all living beings including people. Mans ill health is always affected by the environmental factors such as air pollution, soil pollution ,poor sanitary conditions and biological factors like germs, insects, rodents and animals.Our_Enviro2

According to Webster dictionary Environment is defined as; the complex of physical, chemical, and biotic factors (as climate, soil, and living things) that act upon an organism or an ecological community and ultimately determine its form and survival

A healthy environment is required to obtain a good health. Quality of life can be maintained if we are healthy. Only the man is responsible to maintain the ecological balance. We should maintain the quality of various aspects of the environment such as air, water and land. If one of them is destroyed other is affected. Read the rest of this entry

Youth Empowerment And Sustainable Development; Club and Networks in Rampur


Youth-EmpowermentYouth empowerment, Sustainable development, Climate change, Environmental friendly are some frequently using phrase/terms these days. If we searched these phrase/terms in the internet we can find many related issue and their terminological meaning. The alarming issue, climate change has hits most frequently and this gave rise to new phrase Environmental friendly. Defining future response we often say sustainable development, youth empowerment. For giving action on this matter different organization has given their effort nationally, internationally and globally. If we looked up the Nepal we can also find different  environmental motive organization and clubs. Recently I participated in Youth Eco Network (YEN) in the IAAS Rampur campus. With the main theme “empowering the youth greening the future” this network has just inaugurated and started giving green results. Read the rest of this entry

What I learned in social media training


Training (May 12 ,2013 A.D.) which was supported by youth action fund and organized by environment activist Mrs Kavita Gautam and Mr Jiban panthi had a aim to provide knowledge about social media and its wise application and bridge the gap between urban and rural youth via different social media such as blogs ,face book, linkedln, twitter etc.

celebrating frog day


frog dayOn the occasion of ‘world frog day’, YSD(youth for sustainable development) organized the event entitled ‘Save The Frog Day’ in April  27th in collaboration with IAAS Art group.

The goal of the event was to spread awareness of frog extinction and importance of amphibian conservation. One third of the world’s amphibian species are threatened with extinction and up to 200 frog species have completely disappear since 1979, making frogs the most threatened group of animal on the planet!.
